Erma Byrd Art Gallery

Housed in what was formerly a library on the campus of the University of Charleston, the Erma Byrd Gallery showcases the art of the women of West Virginia. The gallery was established by Dr. Janet Welch, the wife of the University of Charleston’s President Edwin Welch, as a tribute to Senator Robert Byrd’s wife Erma. Groups will have the chance to peruse the gallery’s 155 pieces of art and learn more about the women who created them. Groups can also rent the gallery space for school functions and events.
