West Virginia State Capitol

Tour the West Virginia State Capitol with your group. Modeled after the U.S. Capitol and designed by architect Cass Gilbert, the present capitol building was built in the 1920s. Groups can take a guided tour of the building, which features 333 rooms in the main unit and two separate wings. On the grounds, groups will see the statues of Abraham Lincoln and Stonewall Jackson. Groups can also take a self-guided tour of the three galleries where they can observe legislative floor sessions. Shuttle service is available between the Capitol Complex and the Laidley Field parking area every 10-15 minutes.
