Outdoor Learning Center at Horizons

The Outdoor Learning Center at Horizons creates exciting learning experiences and lasting bonds for school groups, youth retreats, and scouts. In the heart of the Shenandoah Valley, we offer programming to establish positive group culture, develop better communication skills and experience the outdoors in meaningful ways. We offer horseback riding, canoeing, caving, climbing and a number of other outdoor adventures. Our on-site teambuilding courses offer low and high ropes challenges, zip lines, and a giant swing. And as important, we have comfortable on-site lodging and dining options to make your stay delightful. Groups of 10 to 250 welcome!

School groups can enjoy a variety of outdoor education programs at Camp Horizons. Examples of topics covered include geology, biology, archaeology, history, and Earth science. They can also enjoy aquatics, high and low ropes courses, horseback riding, climbing, archery, and other outdoor activities. Accommodations range from tent camping to huts and cabins.
