Experience the stunning, permanent collection of world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly's unique artwork. A pioneer of the Studio Glass Movement in the 1960's and 70's, Chihuly's works are included in over 200 museum collections worldwide, including here in St. Petersburg, Florida. View Chihuly's breathtaking installations, a video presentation on his international exhibitions, or work in the Hot Shop plus temporary rotating exhibitions by other glass artists from around the country. Premiering in January 2017, a dedicated outdoor Garden Space. Watch local glassblowers in action at the Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop located across the street, fully narrated and an added educational component to seeing the exhibition (science, physics and chemistry appropriate) and contemporary art exhibitions at the Morean Arts Center. The Morean Center for Clay, located 1 mile away, showcases functional and sculptural works, plus the largest working pottery in the Southeast US allows students to see artists in action. Additional demonstrations and hands-on activities available upon request.
