McLean County Museum of History

A museum dedicated to collecting the history of McLean County through objects and stories. The permanent exhibit Making a Home explores what rural life was like in McLean County, with interactive displays, pioneer and native artifacts, and illustrations. Visitors can also see exhibits on Abraham Lincoln, the county courthouse, and the many goods and industries of McLean County. Students on a field trip to the museum can learn about pioneer life, examine historical farming techniques and tools, learn about Native Americans and grind corn and play traditional children’s games, and more. Self-guided tours and walking tours are available too.
