The Grand 1894 Opera House

For a nominal price, the Serious Fun Children’s Series introduces students to children’s classics, science, history, and original stage productions. Groups will laugh and learn as they watch the life of Laura Ingalls Wilder, hear the story of the presidents, revisit Hans Christian Anderson’s “The Ugly Duckling”, and more on stage at the Grand. All Children’s Series performances include study guides to get students thinking critically about the play, its historical background, and the different steps involved in putting on a play. Educational workshops (available on a limited basis) can be held in your classroom to further enhance learning.
