Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscyne Nature Center

This oceanside facility is the place to learn about the importance of sea life, coastal environments, and conservation. On the Seagrass Adventure, groups use nets to collect and identify seahorses, urchins, and other creatures. See the wonders of the fossil tidal reef, or learn about native plants and hike through the area’s coastal hammock ecosystem. Groups are free to create their own Coastal Ecology trip: go on a hike, visit the butterfly garden, or schedule time to learn about the exhibits at the visitor center. A program for younger visitors lets them touch sea animals, and create art projects.
