The Ecology School

The Ecology School engages upper elementary through high school students in overnight science programs. Located on the southern coast of Maine, about 90 minutes north of Boston, The Ecology School has eight ecosystems nearby and dorm-style accommodations for students and their chaperones. Groups will enjoy fun, hands-on ecology lessons that are tailored to meet state/national curriculum. Ecosystems like the beach, forest, and marsh serve as outdoor classrooms. Programs focus on topics such as watersheds, animal adaptations, food systems, human ecology, and intertidal organisms.
