Fort Clinch State Park

Visit a 19th-century Civil War-era fort located near the northernmost point of Amelia Island. Named after General Duncan Lamont Clinch, Fort Clinch State Park offers 1,427 acres of Maritime hammocks, oak trees, wildlife, trails, and more. Groups can take a tour of the fort, where they will have the chance to see how it looked in 1864 as it was being constructed by Army Engineers. Reenactments on site feature soldiers performing everyday fort operations. Other activities at the park include hiking the trails, bird watching, and fishing.
