Ellis Island

Take your group to one of the United States’ national treasures! Restored to its 1918-1924 appearance, Ellis Island is filled with self-guided exhibits chronicling its history as America’s immigrant processing station, as well as exhibits that explore the continuing story of immigrants in the New World both before and after the Ellis era. Visitors can take a self-guided audio tour while examining artifacts, photographs, prints, and interactive displays. They can also catch one of the many films that run daily at the museum. Be sure to consider combining your visit with a trip to the Statue of Liberty.

The top five languages spoken at home by people over the age of 5 are English, Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog, and Vietnamese.
