The Children's Museum

The Children’s Museum offers creative and engaging interactive exhibits on topics including art, history and science. Students can crawl underground to see how animals make their homes in Animal Architects, learn about personal hygiene in the Mighty Mouth exhibit, or find out how air works using jet balls and pressurized air. History comes alive in the exciting Egyptian tomb, the Coal mine, where students can walk through caves and learn about the history of child mining in the area, and the Eastern Woodlands Longhouse exhibit of the Native American locals. The museum garden offers groups a chance to inspect insects and flowers outdoors, while perennial exhibits like the Giant Bird’s Nest and Beaver lodge brings live and make-believe animals inside the walls of the museum.
