Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium

Calusa Nature Center & Planetarium provides group with a combination of earth and life science experiences that will supplement your science curriculum. Planetarium shows change monthly, and focus on topics such as meteors, asteroids, comets, sunspots, galaxies, the invention of the telescope, and more via the Konica Minolta Mediaglobe II digital projector. Guarded by large alligators, the planetarium seats 87 and can accommodate three wheelchairs. Groups will have the chance to observe the sky using the Coronado Solar Telescope and enjoy stargazing activities. Groups can also discover the wonders of life science through live animal presentations.
