Litchfield Historical Society

Explore the evolution of a small New England town. Students can join an educator on a guided tour of America's Pastimes: Sports and Recreation in Litchfield to learn how people in town have played and competed, from the colonial period through present day. They can study portraits from the museum's collection to meet townspeople from the past, tour the Tapping Reeve House and Law School, play the roles of key players in the 19th century trials surrounding the Amistad or the Prudence Crandall trial, imagine the town as it looked in the past on a tour of historic sites, and much more.
