Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

Take your students/campers on an engaging and informative journey in unique, tropical botanical gardens. Selby Gardens offers a docent-led tour of the gardens along with a selection of one hands-on field studies option. Groups may choose to explore the inner workings of a flower using dissection, extract water and microbes from bromeliad tanks, participate in the “dance of the butterfly” on the grassy mansion lawn, create leaf rubbings to discover the unique vein structure and texture of different plants, sort and compare various soil samples, and much more.
