Camp Tyler Outdoor School

 
Discover the outdoors with Camp Tyler Outdoor School. Located on over 385 acres of land, Camp Tyler Outdoor School helps groups explore nature through field activities and a variety of educational programs. Groups are welcome to hike the trails, fish, and enjoy campfires. Day programs from 9AM-2PM are available as well as Residential Outdoor School programs, which are usually 3 days and 2 nights. All programs align with TEKS standards. Groups can rent the facilities at Camp Tyler, which include a dining hall, meeting space, camping spots, picnic areas, and more. Cabins on-site can accommodate 120 people (plus 15 chaperones) for overnight stay.

SCHOOLS
Camp Tyler Outdoor School provides a variety of activities and programs to engage students in outdoor education, team building, and more. Activities include learning about animal adaptations while taking care of farm animals, investigating forest soils using scientific tools, collecting pond samples to determine if the water is healthy, navigating obstacles in team building challenges, role playing as early Texas settlers, and many others. Educational programs focus on topics such as early Texas history, wilderness survival, biodiversity, Native American history, and ecosystems. Programs can be customized to meet your curriculum needs. Programs can be customized to meet your scout group’s needs.
