Bayard Cutting Arboretum

Trips to the arboretum include three tours on the grounds, all tours presented by educators and seasoned docents. Scouts and campers can take a leisurely stroll along the arboretum trails and enjoy the extensive collection of fir, spruce, pine, cypress, hemlock, and yew trees. Then, groups can enter the 1886 Tudor-style Westbrook Manor, and view designated rooms. Bayard Cutting also has a farm, which is located on 14 acres of tillable soil, adjacent to the estate’s original barn. The Bayard Cutting Arboretum is the only community supported agricultural farm in the New York State Park System, and visitors will learn about CSAs and how to get involved with community supported agriculture. Tour the garden to meet the Arboretum’s free range chickens.
