Nassau County Museum of Art

Located in the Georgian-style former Frick Estate, the Nassau County Museum is home to a permanent 19th and 20th century American and European art, as well as a variety of rotating collections, sculptures, and gardens. Students can take part in the “Learning to Look” inquiry-based program, where they will examine works from different perspectives. Groups develop artistic and writing skills as means of self-expression during the “Art Immersion” program. For groups seeking to learn English as a second language, the PALS (Pairing Art and Literacy in Schools) program is available, where learners will learn valuable vocabulary through the visual arts.
