Abbott's Mill Nature Center

Spanning 313 acres, this site is home to hiking trails, a 19th-century gristmill, a pond, and meadows. The visitor center has live fish, frogs, turtles, snakes, a touch tank, and taxidermy displays of waterfowl and small mammals. Study how rain impacts soil and plants in the display garden, or schedule a private tour of the mill for a history lesson and to see how farming shapes the land. Educational programs offer groups hands-on opportunities to explore nature and to develop their interpretive skills – make trail discoveries on a guided hike, seine ponds, learn basic bird watching skills, and more.
