Brandywine River Museum of Art

Known for its collection of works from the Wyeth family, the museum’s galleries encompass American landscapes and still life paintings from the 19th and 20th centuries. Theme field trips draw connections between art and multidisciplinary subjects through storytelling and by exploring nature, regional history, and the influence they left on artists. A media study of different tools and techniques reveals the decisions that go into making art. Groups can get a glimpse at history by booking a tour of Andrew Wyeth’s studio or the nearby Kuerner Farm, which was the subject of hundreds of the painter’s works.
