George Washington University Museum and the Textile Museum

Learn about textiles and so much more at the George Washington University Museum and the Textile Museum. More than 1,000 historic prints, manuscripts, maps, and artifacts document the history of Washington, D.C. in the Albert H. Small Washingtoniana Collection. More than 20,000 handmade, non-Western textiles and carpets represent five continents and five millennia can also be found in the museum. Tours of the museum are docent led, and can be focused on a particular section of the museum.
