Baltimore Museum of Industry

Relive the Industrial Revolution…from Baltimore’s early days as a trading port and hub of manufacturing, to its modern identity as a center for research, retail, technology, and tourism, students and scouts can discover the businesses and inventions that forged the Industrial Revolution and propelled Maryland into the 21st century. Groups will literally step into the past as they take on traditional jobs in the model of 20th century Baltimore, get paid in tokens, and learn the value of a day’s work. Groups may also experience an assembly line, or explore shops like the belt-driven machine shop, blacksmith, oyster cannery, and more. STEM design projects are also available.
