Modern Art Museum

The Modern houses more than 3,000 pieces of post-war artwork, including mixed-media artwork, photography, and paintings. Visitors can see highlights from modern and postmodern artists of the 1950s through the 1980s, rotating exhibits on contemporary and international artists, and film screenings. In addition to guided tours, schools can take part in a three-visit program: Writing to Look, or Gallery and Studio Connections. With the help of writing and studio activities, these visits are a way for students to connect with the art in the galleries, and expand their visual vocabulary and knowledge of art making processes.
