Compost for Brooklyn

Founded in 2010 on a vacant lot, Compost for Brooklyn provides the community with an open green space and compost drop off to empower others to care for the environment. Run entirely by volunteers, Compost for Brooklyn can only keep their space open if groups help out during drop off hours. Sign up to collect scraps from individuals, businesses, and local schools, or help out in the garden, which provides hundreds of free trees to members of the community. Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and get ready to compost!
