Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum

Discover aviation history at the Mighty Eighth Air Force Museum, especially the Eighth’s role in defeating Hitler’s Germany in tours that combine STEM and history elements to create a well-rounded experience for groups. Younger learners will receive an introduction to the world of aviation and learn to identify parts of a plane. Older learners will delve into WWII, and the experiences of crewmembers, prisoners of war, the Holocaust, African Americans, and women. Workshops including Life on the Home front led by Rosie the Riveter, the Science of Flight, and The Roosevelt’s and Depression Era women can be added on to tours.
