Muscarelle Museum of Art

The Muscarelle Museum of Art, located in William Mary College, is home to over 5,000 works spanning many continents and historical eras. With exhibits closely related to academic disciplines, it is easy to find ways to match classroom curriculum or scout badge requirements on customized tours. Younger learners can take the Line, Shape, Color tour, which serves as an excellent introduction to art, and allows them to create their own piece. Exhibits range from English and American portraits from the 17th and 18th centuries, Japanese prints, African Art, Asian ceramics, and German expressionist works on paper.
