Asheville Outdoor Center

A trip to Asheville Outdoor Center ensures that students and scouts will get plenty of sun and lots of exercise! Groups can embark on the 7-mile float trip on rafts or kayaks, or the shorter 1-mile tubing trip along the French Broad River. Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard on site, and then go off onto the water! Groups can mine for gems, minerals, shells, and fossils with the facility’s mining sluice. Bike rentals are also available, as well as lunch catering options.
