Children's Discovery Museum of Augusta

Opened in 1992, the Children’s Discovery Museum of Augusta strives to stimulate developmental skills in young learners. The museum’s various exhibits and educational programs will help groups acquire social, cognitive, problem solving, and peer interaction skills. Groups will enjoy exhibits such as the Touch Tank where they can hold sea life from Maine’s coast, the Music Area where they can make their own tunes, the Pizza Kitchen where they can learn about the restaurant world as they serve their customers, and much more. Educational programs include hands-on activities such as playing with clay to create something based on the week’s theme and running a lemonade stand to learn money management.
