Williamsburg Botanical Garden

Located in the middle of Freedom Park, the Williamsburg Botanical Garden features 15 garden areas for groups to enjoy. The garden boasts a variety of plant life such as vegetables in the Therapy Garden, peonies from Eurasia in the Heirloom Garden, blue mistflowers in the Wildflower Meadow, flowers native to coastal Virginia in the Calcareous Ravine, and much more. Groups will also see butterflies and other insects in the Butterfly Garden, songbirds in the Green Roofed Pavilion, and a stream bank in the Wetlands area. Younger learners can take a self-guided tour of the garden with their chaperones, while college groups can enjoy a guided tour with the Williamsburg Master Gardeners on weekdays in April-June and September. College groups can also participate in educational programs that focus on topics such as plein air sketching and learning how to cook with herbs.
