Darien Nature Center

This nature center offers hour-long, naturalist-led programs consisting of live animal demonstrations, games, and activities. The pond, forests, fields, animal habitat room, natural science library and theatre can all be a part of your experience. PreK groups can interact with the Nature Center rabbit, chinchilla, land turtle, water turtle, dove, ferret, snake, and lizard. K through 5th grade groups can explore the marshes, woods, rivers and meadows with naturalists, as well as learn about topics such as nocturnal animals, habitats, insects, rocks and minerals, the night sky, watersheds, and more.
