Lizzadro Museum of Lapidary Art

This museum displays gemstone treasures, from antique to modern, and earth science exhibits. Explore the art of cutting and polishing stone, and watch a film from one of a variety of subjects, such as Chinese jade carving, and earth history. Groups can engage in a scavenger hunt as they make their way through both levels of the museum, viewing exhibits on diamonds, rock and mineral identification, and the Historical Figures collection, featuring 1/4 life size portraits of historic personalities. Homeschool and scout groups can learn identification techniques and the Mohs scale; scouts can can work towards geology badges.
