Lyon Farm & Village

Lyon Farm & Village features 15 historic buildings that tell the story of Kendall County. Part of the Kendall County Historical Society, the 39 acre farm was donated by Mrs. Frances Lyon in 1974. The property also features a fully-stocked general store, an 1840s schoolhouse, town hall, a working blacksmith shop, and more. Groups can take a tour of the farm and village where they will discover what life was like in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Teachers can prepare a lesson plan to teach their group on their visit to the old schoolhouse for a unique classroom experience.
