Fondo Del Sol Visual Arts Center

Fondo Del Sol Visual Arts Center maintains a collection of Pre-Columbian, Santero, and 20th Century Latino and Caribbean art, as well as selected African-American works. The exhibits will educate students in an alternative art history that reflects the demographic changes occurring in the United States. Fondo Del Sol offers bilingual educational programs for school groups. Programs include lessons on a single piece of art; on a specific artist or topic; or on the art, music, and history of a certain region or country in Latin America or the Caribbean. During the programs, students will examine paintings and sculptures, listen to music, and watch educational videos. The Center will provide materials and talks in English and Spanish, snacks for students, teacher guides, and pre- and post-visit activities.
