KIDS Consortium

KIDS Consortium, also known as Kids Involved Doing Service-Learning, was founded in 1992 to help educators work with students to tackle issues in the community. KIDS Consortium focuses on allowing students to participate in service learning projects that align with state learning standards, teach civic engagement, and encourage project decision-making between students and teachers as partners. Teachers can choose from a variety of different projects such as recycling school waste, working with community members to evaluate the health of nearby rivers, hosting a hunger banquet, and more. KIDS Consortium offers consulting services for teachers and guidebooks for integrating service learning in the classroom.
