Rockford Art Museum

The Rockford Art Museum boasts a diverse collection, spanning portraits and landscapes by American masters to photography, outsider art, and contemporary paintings, lithography and glass. The museum offers guided and self-guided tours, and the opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity with the artist-in-residence based on the current exhibit. Field trip programs on Terrific Tuesdays give groups a way to engage their bodies and imaginations with hands-on art activities. Break apart light, create shadow dances, use painting techniques to explore shades of color, and much more.
