Gum Tree Farm

Experience farm life on the 50-acre Gum Tree Farm. Groups will enjoy a day spent with Gum Tree’s farm animals such as turkeys, pigs, cows, goats, rabbits, sheep, “Strudebaker” the donkey, and more. During your trip, your group might also spot deer, owls, hawks, and other wildlife roaming the farm. The farm’s educational programs teach groups about feeding animals, caring for livestock, and the wool-making process. Groups will learn how to identify the fibers used in clothing and watch a shearing, spinning, and wool dyeing demonstration. Groups will be able to take a sample of wool home. Other educational program activities include hayrides and pumpkin picking when in season.
