Elachee Nature Science Center

The Elachee Nature Center offers memorable, customizable STEM-based environmental education curriculum to visiting groups. All aboard the floating classroom, Chota Princess II, to learn about the history and ecology of Lake Lanier during activities such as sampling plankton, collecting lake sediment, and more. Lots of programs are available for land lovers too- study animal life cycles, plants, astronomy, habitats, energy, and fungus. Find the fun in math during Wild Georgia Math, or step into some social studies with Lessons from the Cherokee. Programs can incorporate a classroom presentation and a hike/outdoor activity, or take place completely outside!
