Hollywood Cemetery

Discover the history of Hollywood Cemetery and the famous people buried there. On a walking tour of the cemetery, groups will learn about the landscape, artwork, and unique history of the cemetery. Must see items during the tour are the President John Tyler Monument, Davis Circle, the Monument of Confederate War Dead, and the Iron Dog that stands as a guard over the grave of a little girl who died in 1862. Be sure to stop by the tombs of notable residents such as philanthropist Lewis Ginter, fifth U.S. President James Monroe, and President of the Confederacy Jefferson Davis.
