Center Stage

Center Stage is an artistically driven institution committed to engaging, entertaining, and enriching audiences of today and tomorrow through joyous and bold performance. Center Stage's education programs integrate theater into the lives of nearly 10,000 Maryland students each season, inspiring young imaginations through programs that cultivate creative and intellectual potential, and developing a practical understanding of the arts. The student matinee series allows teachers to introduce their students to theater with special performances, talkbacks and materials from the Education Department. 2015-2016 student matinees include Pride and Prejudice, The Secret Garden, X’s and O’s (A Football Love Story), As You Like It, and Detroit ’67. Enhance the student matinee experience with tours, in-class visits, and post-show talkbacks.
