The Contemporary Museum

Visit a nomadic, non-collecting art museum that commissions site-specific and subject-oriented projects for public spaces in collaboration with artists and institutions, organizations, sites, and spaces. The Contemporary Museum was started by Baltimore curator George Ciscle in 1989, and continues today as a place to exchange meaningful thoughts and ideas about art. Current and past exhibits feature mixed media, photography, sculpture, drawings, and more. Art projects at the museum focus on topics such as nature, the culture of street art, and world history.
