Visitors will take in an impressive collection of Renaissance and Baroque art, French impressionist art, early modern art, and American art; including highlights by painters such as Warhol, Chuck Close, and Edward Hopper. School groups can have a lesson during their visit, using investigation and activities to bring art and history together in exciting ways. Younger students can look for animals in art, study early use of 3D space, and learn about the visual language of art. Older students can learn about mythology and symbols of power in art, and how artistic and scientific breakthroughs impacted artwork during the Renaissance.
