Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens

In an age old dance wind, water, and land combine at Kenilworth Park & Aquatic Gardens. This natural area of Anacostia Park has origins in a 1926 act of Congress to preserve the forests, water quality, and recreation value of the waterways of Washington, DC. Teachers can trade loudspeaker announcements and hallways for the rustle of leaves in the breeze and dragonfly overhead. Your National Parks are great outdoor classrooms! Building learning from life experiences has been the idea behind education programs at Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens. Students use park resources to understand basic concepts to succeed in school. View the school tour options under the "Education" section of the website.
