Hidden Oaks Nature Center

Located in the 52-acre Annandale District Park, the Hidden Oaks Nature Center is nestled among woodland trails and creeks, with gardens and a nearby playground. Facilities include live animals, a climbing "tree" loft and puppet stage, a resource library, and the Urban Woodlands interactive exhibit. Be sure to also see the nature center rain garden. Some school programs include: Eastern Woodland Indians of the Early 1600's; Critters of the Forest; Getting Ready for Winter; Roots, Shoots, Blooms and Buds; Weather Patterns; and more. Outreach programs available. The interactive exhibit is ideal for children aged 2 and up.
