Emerald Hollow Mine LLC

We would like to present to you a new “hands-on” learning experience for the student. We have designed an Earth Science program and field trip which the student will be able to relate to visibly in their textbook. The student will see the reality of past earth movements, such as plate tectonics which caused gemstones to be formed in hydrothermal vein formations in the earth. The student will also learn about soil and erosion, learn why gold and gemstones are so often found in the creek, and learn to wash “gem-bearing ore” at the sluiceway.
