Mint Museum

The broad collection of the Mint Museum features American art, decorative arts, sculpture, modern and contemporary art, and ancient American art. Some past exhibits have focused on: the museum’s many works on paper like engravings, prints, and pastels; abstract expressionism; and crafts from the collection. Students can learn how art impacts culture through tours that explore how artists use materials, techniques, and art concepts to tell stories and communicate cultural traditions. Students also develop their writing skills as they look closely at works of art and learn how to respond to them. Tours available at both locations - reserve in advance.
