Jerome "Buddie" Ford Nature Center

Visit Jerome “Buddie” Ford Nature Center for a day of scientific exploration. Groups will have the chance to see live animals such as birds of prey, black bear, red fox, owls, turtles, salamanders, and more. Groups will also learn about local geology and natural history at the nature center’s Dora Kelley Nature Park. Exhibits at the nature center feature Mary Anne Warner’s “Wildlife of the Dora Kelley Nature Park” and installations that teach groups about various animals local to Alexandria, Virginia. Educational programs focus on hibernation, life cycles, animal adaptation, and more.
