Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum

Tour the Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum, where your group can get a behind-the-scenes look at the museum’s collection of herbal botanicals, medical equipment, hand-blown glass, and more! The museum used to be a family owned business in 1792, and the objects on display have remained in their original location for years. Groups will see archives from the 19th and 20th centuries, which include journals, letters, diaries, prescriptions, invoices, orders, and more, some featuring the names of well known historical figures like Martha Washington and Robert E. Lee. Groups will also have a chance to see some apothecary objects behind the counter that are not usually on display.
