North Carolina Aquariums

Students and scouts at Roanoke Island location can have a live animal encounter, study marine mammals, and even participate in an animal dissection. Visit the galleries at Pine Knoll Shores and Fort Fisher and have groups participate in a scavenger hunt, all while seeing thousands of aquatic animals from across the state and unique ecosystems like a trout pool and cypress swamp. At Jennette’s Pier, groups can build science projects and engage with topics like ocean currents, wind power, the water cycle, and even fishing.
