Wave Hill

A 28-acre estate consisting of gardens and a cultural center. Groups visiting Wave Hill will find nature and art intertwined in programs with unique, hands-on activities. Students on a field trip can learn about plants, tree life cycles, seeds, ecology, animals, and other topics. They might dissect seeds, explore forests, go birdwatching and study feathers, or study animal tracks. With nature as their inspiration, students will then get to work on a creative project, such as creating a seed mosaic, working with beeswax, making a crystal painting, or expressing themselves through outdoor writing and sketching.
