Kuipers Family Farm

 
A 230-acre working farm, Kuipers Family Farm specializes in growing apples, pumpkins and Christmas trees. The Apple Orchard Tour is a guided, educational one hour tour that includes apple variety sampling, a glimpse into cider making, honey bee observation hives, orchard hayride and cider doughnuts for all.  Pumpkin Farm Tour include activities such as hayrides, viewing farm animals, navigating the corn maze, haunted forest, a pumpkin for everyone and much more. Field trips for school groups and scout outings available. Located just an hour west of Chicago it’s easily accessible with ample parking for school busses.

SCHOOL
On field trips to Kuipers Family Farm, students will learn all about farm life. The Apple Orchard Tour (September 11 – October 4) is a structured, guided, educational tour that will discuss apple growing, bees and pollination, apple varieties, harvesting technique, and cider processing. Our Pumpkin Farm Tour (September 25 to October 31) is primarily unguided and allows groups to explore our activity area at their own pace.
