Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra

The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra is dedicated to artistic excellence and strives to connect with communities through world class performances and outreach programs. The Phil has various educational programs that introduce young students to music, such as the Take 5 for Music program and the "Look, Listen, Learn!" program. In the "Meet the Maestro" event, students can meet conductor Steven Karidoyanes as he gives a lively talk about the season's upcoming music. Karidoyanes also presents pre-concert talks for student groups. Older students can see a presentation on the basic elements of music that focuses on how to listen, what to listen for, and how to appreciate musical creativity and expression.
